Individual support for clients living in Oregon, USA.
From time to time, each of us experiences a period in our life when we need external support to get through a challenge. Sometimes an outside perspective is needed to help us shift from a stuck place. Sometimes we need help to develop new skills in order to cope with a stressful situation. Or sometimes we just need someone to listen to our story and let us know that we are seen and heard. Individual therapy is a place to share your struggles with a safe and trusted other and know that you are not alone.
As a therapist, I do not see my clients as diagnoses or a collection of symptoms to resolve. Rather, I see us as fellow travelers in the human experience. I am not an expert on your experience, but you are! I can help you to listen more deeply to yourself. Together we will explore whatever arises to help you discover hidden parts of yourself, integrate your life experiences, and experience a greater sense of well-being. We may also work on helping you to improve boundaries and relational skills, form healthier coping strategies, and shift behaviors that aren’t working for you. Most of this will be accomplished through therapeutic conversation and reflection which will look different with every client. We may engage in mindfulness meditations, expressive arts activities, CBT/DBT skills training, talk about your attachment style, and more as a part of our collaborative plan to address the concerns you come with.
I work with individuals 18 years old and up on a wide variety of issues:
